Recent Case Studies. Our consulting and staffing work is highly varied, but the following are typical examples of the complex work performed by Ntelicor personnel.

Since 2001, we have served on a client lead team building and deploying a web application infrastructure for Federal and quasi-Federal agencies at 4 sites. This is a highly secure state of the art infrastructure that essentially is a service provider for several key eCommerce applications for the Federal government.

The build out of this infrastructure has been conducted in multiple phases. Phase I implemented support for the first two Web-based applications at a single, fully redundant agency production site. Phase II implemented a second fully redundant, geographically diversified agency site, where both sites support additional applications and load balancing of user access during phase II. A third site also has been built to support the testing/QA needs of the client development community.

Our architects and applications integrators have built hardware and middleware solutions based on application processing requirements.

The core technologies include Sun Solaris OS, BEA, IBM, EMC, Cisco networking, WebLogic, WebSphere and Java. Our people also provide application architecture to the extent of being able to translate SW product and high-level application needs into infrastructure solutions. Our principle duties involve the design, development, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, analysis and technical implementation of servers, storage systems, load balancing, security, networking, and application infrastructures within a distributed processing environment. Certifications of our current personnel include: Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Technology; CCIE; CCNP; CISSP; SSCP; and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).

We also provide specific Solutions Architects to the client for for Identity Management/Lighthouse, Siteminder and Remedy, as well as Unix Admins, Testers, Capacity Planners, Network Engineers, and Security Engineers.

In less than 12 months, an Ntelicor lead team had to convert/migrate/reengineer a massive agency application which specifically deals with “Farm”, “Tract” and associated customer data nation-wide. The legacy system was a local system running on S/36 servers in 2,500+ Service Centers throughout the U.S, all disconnected from each other. Ntelicor personnel were engaged to build a web-based system that hosts centralized data. It also interfaces with external applications, as well as synchronizes Service Center S/36 servers.

Serious challenges that have been overcome included: the volume of data - 58 million Tract Year records; large size and number of distributed sites to be synchronized; significant size of application with multiple components - Interim, Synchronization, Web Service, Migration, Management, Recon, New Web Service, and Reports; sophisticated application architecture; and unstable (evolving) agency development process and standards.

Our client (Fortune 30 IT services firm) supports a 10 year, $10 billion IT infrastructure contract. Ten companies, not including Ntelicor, had been “teaming partners” with our client and had prepared for 2 years to assist our client with staffing needs once the contract was awarded. These teaming companies are significantly larger than Ntelicor, and all specialize in IT staffing and consulting. However, our client primarily relied upon its teaming company partners for staffing , and in this instance, they could not provide our client with the needed IT specialists: certain types of Unisys and Unix administrators which are not routinely found in this particular U.S. state.

In less than two weeks, under extraordinary budget constraints, we interviewed, recruited, and relocated 10 specialists to do this work, which is ongoing today. Moreover, Ntelicor personnel under client management continue to ensure the integrity of a very complex and challenging Unisys platform upon which the agencies most important applications run.

Our client outsourced to Ntelicor responsibility for upgrading Point of Sale computer systems at various retail chains across the U.S., including Dillards, Firestone, Shell, and J.C. Penneys.

Ntelicor was responsible for all aspects including staffing, travel, scheduling logistics, site management and extraordinary cash outlay.
